Welcome

 Welcome, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping those who are struggling with alcohol and substance use.  Often when a person admits to drug and alcohol usage they are presented with many obstacles to obtaining help. They may be told they must immediately and dramatically change how they live. They must discontinue all use. They must abstain. If they resist this, they may be denied help or refused treatment. Often they may be labeled as being “in denial”.   Although I have experience with the “abstinence only” approach to treatment, I don’t feel it should be the only option offered.  More importantly, I don’t want to tell anyone who reaches out for help what they must do.  No one likes to be told what they MUST do.  I would like to help you explore how alcohol and drug use have impacted your life and well being. I would like to join you in exploring your options.
